The Nebraska Schoolmasters Club will award two to three $1,000 scholarships to Nebraska Educators pursuing new or additional degrees in Educational Administration.
Scholarship applications will be accepted until Friday February 28, 2025, and the scholarship winners will be announced at the Schoolmasters spring meeting in Kearney, NE on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.
Qualifications & Selection Criteria:
· Be a teacher or administrator in a Nebraska School District that is approved by NDE
· Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
· Applying for or already accepted into a graduate program for a master’s degree in educational administration, an educational specialist program or doctorate program in educational administration
· Fully intend to seek an administrative position upon completion of the program
Applicant Must Submit:
• Letter of application stating interest in becoming a school principal or superintendent or for practicing administrators, a letter stating future goals in the field of administration
• Personal resume listing education and experience
• A description of leadership positions held in current or former positions
• Three (3) letters from supervisors, board members, or college instructors attesting to the candidate’s leadership skills
